About the Role: Tele-Vascular Neurologist As a Tele-Vascular Neurologist with Eagle Telemedicine, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care through telemedicine consultations. Your expertise will be invaluable in managing direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Key Responsibilities: Telemedicine Consultations: Perform comprehensive telemedicine neurology consultations to assess patient conditions, develop treatment plans, and prescribe necessary medications. Patient Care Management: Manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment, ensuring the highest standards of care. Pharmaceutical and Treatment Management: Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions, always adhering to best practices and guidelines. Referrals and Collaborations: Refer patients to other specialists and relevant patient care components as necessary, fostering a collaborative environment with onsite nursing staff and other medical providers. Medical Guidance and Consultation: Provide expert medical guidance to onsite nursing staff and engage in physician-to-physician consultations in the ED and on patient floors, ensuring seamless care coordination. Documentation and EMR Management: Accurately document patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and other relevant information within the hospital’s EMR system, maintaining meticulous records. Bedside Manner and Communication: Demonstrate exceptional bedside manner and communication skills, even in a remote setting, to ensure patient comfort, understanding, and satisfaction. Essential Qualifications: Licensure: Currently licensed in at least one U. S. state, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states as required. Board Certification: Board certified in Neurology, with a strong foundation in vascular neurology. Experience: Medical Doctor with at least 2 years of direct patient care experience outside of residency and fellowship, preferably in a vascular neurology setting. DEA Certification: Federal DEA Certification, with a medical specialty license or certification. Technical Skills: Experience navigating multiple EMR systems, strong technical skills, and familiarity with secure video conferencing platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degrees or Certifications: Additional certifications or fellowships in vascular neurology or related fields are highly valued. Teaching or Research Experience: Experience in teaching, research, or academic settings can be beneficial, though not required. Leadership or Management Experience: Previous leadership or management roles, especially in telemedicine or remote healthcare settings, are a plus. Skills and Competencies: Clinical Expertise: Strong clinical skills in vascular neurology, with the ability to make accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a remote setting. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using EMR systems, video conferencing tools, and other digital platforms essential for telemedicine practice. Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to new technologies, workflows, and patient care scenarios, with flexibility in scheduling and work arrangements.
