We’re Looking for Someone Loyal to Grow with Us We’re a small but growing pest control business, and we’d love to find someone who’s not just looking for a job, but a place to put down roots and grow right alongside us. About the Role No prior pest control experience? No problem. We can teach you on the job. You’ll just need to take and pass the pest control exam after your training so you can work independently without an operator by your side. Right now, this is a part-time position, but there’s room to grow into full-time — with a pay increase and commission opportunities for both production and sales. We’re building toward a busier, stronger future, so we’re looking for someone who’s patient during slower seasons and excited to help us expand. This is a buggy job and you might come across rodents, so this role would need someone who is not scared or can tolerate being near or in the presences of rodents and bugs. If already have or once you have the registered technician license you will need to maintain your hours so you can keep the license. The company can pay for your membership in the GPCA so you can use the free classes offered by their association. You do not get paid when you are getting the continuing education for your license. What You’ll Be Doing • Inspect homes and businesses to find pest problems and figure out the right treatment plan. • Apply by the label treatments according to regulations and company guidelines. • Teach clients how to prevent future pest issues and recommend maintenance services. • Keep clear and accurate records of treatments, follow-ups, and customer notes. • Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively. • Drive to different job sites on time and ready to work. • Work closely with the team to keep our service top-notch. • Actively keeping a eye out for sales opportunities. • Generating sales/leads if asked to place out door hangers What Helps You Stand Out • Registered technician license. • A willingness to learn pest control methods and follow safety rules. • Any experience in lawn care, landscaping, farming, or agriculture is a plus. • Friendly, confident communication skills to connect with customers and explain our services. • Ability to use tools and equipment safely according to their label. • A valid driver’s license and solid driving record. • Problem-solving skills and great attention to detail. If you want to be part of a company where your work really matters, where loyalty is valued, and where your growth is our growth, we’d love to meet you. You are expected to always wear jeans or tough pants that will not tear easy. Shoes and socks are required. Shoes must cover the entire foot and we would need to be able to fit them within shoe covers while entering and servicing homes. Pay: You will be paid $14/hourly. If for some reason you finish the day early you can go home early and get the full hours of the day. This doesn't mean you rush the jobs or do them super early within the day just so you can go home sooner. You still must respect the customers and your employer. You'll have a work truck and you start getting paid once you get to your first job and then you stop getting paid after you finish your last job. You might be placed on a three day work week with on call for other days of the week. Sales commissions are given when you generate a lead and make the sale. • If you are allergic to insect stings, have bad allergies, or known to have asthma that prevents you from doing physical work, then you may need to look somewhere else.
