About the Role As our ideal candidate, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to internal users, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects, ensure compliance with security policies, and stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person to resolve hardware, software, or network-related issues. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to computer hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems and applications. Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Assist in the maintenance and management of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks to ensure data integrity and system reliability. Respond to and resolve IT-related service requests in a timely manner, adhering to defined service level agreements (SLAs). Create and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles. Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT equipment and software licenses. Stay informed about the latest technology trends and best practices in the IT support industry. Provide IT training and guidance to users on various software applications and tools. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, contributing to the successful implementation of new technologies and processes. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and escalate problems as necessary. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as an IT Technical Engineer or in a similar technical support role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and network concepts. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues on Windows and/or Mac systems. Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common business applications. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience with cloud-based technologies and infrastructure. Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL. Certifications in relevant areas, such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA. Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
