Job Description In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, predominantly from the comfort of your own home, with one day on site per week in our central London location. As a Supporter Care Officer, your key responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional customer service to donors and supporters over the phone and via email, ensuring that all interactions are professional, friendly, and responsive to their needs. Handling supporter queries in a timely and efficient manner, resolving issues effectively and escalating complex problems to the relevant teams when necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of supporter interactions in our internal database, ensuring that all information is secure, compliant, and easily accessible. Building and maintaining strong relationships with supporters, engaging with them regularly, and providing personalized updates on our organisation's work and impact. Collaborating with the customer service team to meet and exceed departmental goals, sharing best practices, and contributing to the development of new strategies and initiatives. Adhering to all company policies and procedures, ensuring that our organisation's values and standards are upheld in all interactions with supporters and stakeholders. Participating in training and development opportunities as required, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in customer service, and continuously improving your skills and knowledge. The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities, including: Experience in a customer service role, ideally in the Not For Profit sector, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with customers and supporters. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling messages, negotiate complex issues, and provide empathetic support to our supporters. A strong background in call handling, ideally in relation to fundraising and donations, with experience of managing multiple calls, prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex issues, identify creative solutions, and implement effective remedies that meet the needs of our supporters. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with a passion for building strong relationships, resolving issues efficiently, and providing personalized support to our donors and supporters. Experience using CRM systems, with the ability to maintain accurate records, track interactions, and analyze data to inform our customer service strategies. A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge and expertise, and contribute to the development of our customer service team.
