Job Overview As a Staff Software Engineer, Retail Media, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in designing, building, and deploying production applications that delight our customers and associates. You will be part of a high-performing team that values technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Your expertise will help shape the technical direction of our products, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet the evolving needs of our users. Key Responsibilities Delivery and Execution (50%): Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will take a broad view when approaching issues, using a global lens to identify opportunities for improvement and drive results. Learns and Grows (10%): Actively seek ways to grow and be challenged, using both formal and informal development channels. You will learn through successful and failed experiments, embracing a culture of experimentation and continuous learning. Plans and Aligns (20%): Create new and better ways for the organization to be successful, delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. You will collaborate with the product team to ensure user stories are developer-ready, easy to understand, and testable. Supports and Enables (20%): Field questions from product and engineering teams, helping to grow junior engineers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks and leading technical discussions. You will identify gaps on the team and provide suggestions for changes to make the team more productive. Essential Qualifications Must be eighteen years of age or older Must be legally permitted to work in the United States Bachelor's degree in a field of study related to the job (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant work experience Extensive experience with front-end technology such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks Experience with object-oriented programming languages (preferably Java) Experience with relational or NoSQL database technology, cloud computing techniques, CI/CD tools, and modern software design patterns Experience in effective data modeling with both relational and NoSQL databases Experience with security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques Experience with version control systems Experience in designing systems for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, efficiency, and security Skills and Competencies Global perspective Manages ambiguity Nimble learning Self-development Collaborates Cultivates innovation Situational adaptability Communicates effectively Drives results Interpersonal savvy Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
