Job title: Accounting - Corporate Controller Company: Job description: Job Description Corporate Controller Herndon, VA MUST: Experienced Corporate Controller Experience supporting a federal government contractor that provides services to agencies such as DoD, NASA and other government entities. Expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Financial statement preparation experience. Experience with payroll systems. Experience with indirect rate calculation and leading company through DCAA audits. Experience with cost accounting and software such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, JAMIS ERP, etc. with a preference for Costpoint Risk management experience handling companywide insurance policies. Experience supervising and managing staff. Experience with executive leadership briefing and interfaces MBA or CPA (Business or Accounting Degree), required DUTIES: Demonstrate leadership, management and bring extensive experience in a similar role. Expertise in government contracting and DCAA audits is required. Prepare financial statements Preparing for/lead DCAA audits. Prepare for/leading company annual audit Calculate indirect rates for government cost contracts (CPFF). Maintain a DCAA compliant cost accounting system. Support incurred cost estimates and all other DCAA submissions. Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and reports. Monitor closing processes, billing, invoicing, and payroll administration. Manage and supervise the accounting staff. Document processes and procedures to ensure continuity and compliance with DCAA guidelines and GAAP accounting standards. Evaluate and enhance financial controls and tax return procedures. Analyze and interpret balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and liabilities.
