About the Role: SEL Teacher for Small Group Intervention We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Teacher to join our team in Chattanooga, TN, as a very part-time instructor. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students in grades K-8, providing small group intervention (Tier 2) and helping them address their identified skill deficits to achieve on-level academic success. Our intervention teachers utilize a prescribed curriculum and the gradual release model of instruction to ensure students receive the support they need. Key Responsibilities: Instruct small groups of students in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting, focusing on intervention and utilizing company-designed materials and educational strategies. Deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing skills to eligible students. Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans using our company-provided curriculum. Ensure student supervision at all times, including safely escorting them to and from classrooms/learning stations. Perform timely data entry to meet deadlines, including student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, and compliance documentation. Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences to keep them informed of their child's progress. Maintain accurate student forms and files as required by the company, local, state, and federal agencies. Foster consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to student support. Undertake other duties as assigned by the management team. Essential Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution. Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience, demonstrating your ability to work effectively with students. Willingness and ability to teach across various grade levels, showing flexibility and adaptability. A passion for helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of MS Office and video conferencing tools like Zoom or Teams, facilitating communication and data management.
