About the Role We're seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a remote basis within Alabama. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Acentra Health, you'll play a vital role in our prior authorization process, working closely with providers and patients to ensure seamless medication management. Key Responsibilities: Review verbal and electronic prior authorization requests based on pre-established criteria and approve or deny authorization. Receive and respond to incoming calls from providers and patients, addressing their queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Make outbound calls as needed to resolve issues or request additional information. Enter data project-specific information into our prior authorization processing system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Project a professional company image through written and verbal interactions, maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Process Requests for Information (RFIs) for client accounts, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills. Perform monitoring tasks of the HID/Client database, notifying management of errors or problems and contributing to continuous improvement. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, upholding our commitment to quality and regulatory adherence. Work rotating shifts, including nights until 7:00 PM CT, one Saturday per month, and some holidays, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Meet and/or exceed production, quality, attendance, and adherence standards, striving for excellence in all aspects of your role. Provide training and assistance to other employees, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support team success. National certification: National Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (PTCB) or National Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT). State pharmacy technician license from the State of Alabama. Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Computer literacy with the ability to learn customer service software applications. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Good keyboarding skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work on multiple items at a time, meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. 1+ year of retail pharmacy and/or customer contact work experience. Why Join Acentra Health?
