Job Summary As an Environmental Specialist - Cleaning and Maintenance Expert, you will play a critical role in maintaining the overall look and feel of our store. You will be responsible for ensuring that our store is clean, safe, and well-maintained, providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities Maintain the overall cleanliness and recovery standards of the store, ensuring that it meets our Brand Promises. Deliver friendly and exceptional customer service, assisting customers in finding what they need and providing a positive shopping experience. Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures. Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures. Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in their correct placement. Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment. Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high-traffic areas. Maintain cleaning equipment and notify supervisors of supply needs in advance. Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors. Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers. Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members. Additional Responsibilities Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience. Execute cash handling to standards. Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments. Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS). Participate in the truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes. Support shrink and safety programs. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred. Ability to remain standing for long periods. Ability to move throughout the store, with regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching. Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a retail environment. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and protocols. Excellent customer service skills. As an Environmental Specialist, you may be required to work in a frame shop with glass cutters and heat presses, and some outdoor work may be assigned.
