About the Role: Director, HR Business Partner The Director, HR Business Partner will be a strategic business partner to senior leadership, contributing to and leading the execution of human resources strategies and tactics to support the needs of executive leaders and employees within their assigned client group. This role will require a strong and diverse skillset, with expertise in HR services strategy development, organization design, talent management, organizational effectiveness, change and transition management, DE&I, and functional HR integration. Key Responsibilities: Provides ongoing strategic HR leadership and consultation to anticipate and assess emerging business, organization, and people trends. Offers expert guidance to business leaders and employees in major HR areas, including talent acquisition, organization development, performance management, talent planning, and career development. Drives organizational development initiatives to ensure the design, capabilities, processes, and culture of the organization deliver the business strategy. Maintains a high level of business literacy to provide a consultative approach to delivering HR services. Leverages HR/business skills and knowledge to challenge or influence leadership in the decision-making process. Assesses the culture of the workplace with a focus on employee relations and develops strategies to foster an environment where all employees are respected and valued. Leads a team of HRBPs and leverages a wider shared services team to provide first-class strategic business partnering and responsive, quality service to all employees within the client groups. Executes the Talent Management process to identify current and forecasted talent needs and develops action plans to mitigate associated risk and improve confidence in future successor readiness. Partners with the Compensation team to manage pay-for-performance programs, including annual merit increases, bonuses, promotions, and out-of-cycle requests. Oversees the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources services and resolves Human Resources issues arising at assigned ESPN clients. Essential Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in increasingly responsible Human Resources roles, including senior-level business partnering experience. Strong OD and change management skills, with experience partnering with businesses going through significant organizational transformations on a global scale. Proven track record of establishing credibility and delivering first-class business partner experience to leadership. Business-oriented, with the ability to understand the organization from a commercial and operational point of view, as well as from a people perspective. Track record of influencing executives, mid-level, and senior management. Possesses both strategic thinking capability and 'hands-on' HR plan implementation experience. Strong influence, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with overall leadership capability. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with strong facilitation and presentation skills. Proven knowledge of HR industry practices, with working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws pertaining to the employment relationship. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with technology organizations or other fast-paced, constantly changing global functions. MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
