Job Overview As a Tech Support Assistant, you will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. You will respond to email, ticket, or phone queries and log all help desk interactions. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to ask questions to determine the nature of the problem, walk customers through problem-solving processes, and follow up with customers to ensure the issue has been resolved. Key Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Respond to email, ticket, or phone queries and log all help desk interactions. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software. Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems. Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: At least 1 year of experience as a Virtual Assistant or in a similar role. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Solid organizational skills and excellent time management. Availability to work on a US time zone shift. Proficiency with word-processing software and spreadsheets (e.g., MS Office), online calendars, and scheduling (e.g., Google Calendar). Excellent phone, email, and instant messaging communication skills. A tech-savvy mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Essential Qualifications In addition to the above requirements, you should also have: A strong understanding of computer systems, software, and hardware. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent customer service skills and a patient approach to resolving technical issues. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment. Familiarity with help desk software and ticketing systems. Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols. Technical Requirements To perform this role, you will need: A USB headset with noise cancellation. A working webcam. A primary computer with a desktop and dual screen, and a backup computer with at least an i5 to i7 processor and 8GB RAM. A main internet service speed of at least 25 Mbps wired connection, and a backup internet speed of at least 10 Mbps.
