Job Summary As an Equity Research, Vice President - Life Science Tools & Diagnostics, you will partner with our Senior Analyst covering the Life Science Tools & Diagnostics sector. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting the fundamental equity research process to provide industry and stock-specific content, building and maintaining financial estimates, and writing reports on companies under coverage and key industry themes. You will need to develop strong relationships with Equity Research colleagues, Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Conduct fundamental equity research on companies in the Life Science Tools & Diagnostics sector to provide differentiated industry and stock-specific content Build and maintain financial estimates, financial databases, and write reports on companies under coverage and key industry themes Develop expertise on companies in the Life Science Tools & Diagnostics sector and cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts Attend company and industry events to stay up-to-date on market trends and developments Communicate team views on covered companies with internal and external constituents Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 5+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education BS/BA or higher degree Direct experience within the industry or equity research industry-specific sector - Life Science Tools & Diagnostics Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high-level proficiency in modeling Strong writing skills and attention to detail Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis, accounting principles in the capital markets industry, and investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application Preferred Qualifications: Experience working effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels Ability to work independently and make sound risk decisions Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Wells Fargo, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
