Key Responsibilities Provide expert guidance and support to project teams and TPF groups on technical architecture standards and directions. Assist application development teams in adopting the latest upgrades of the z/TPF operating system and AWS architecture patterns. Conduct high-level and detailed technical design reviews to ensure project and product integrity. Collaborate with other Delta technology teams, the enterprise architecture team, Travelport, and IBM to drive project success. Stay up-to-date with industry trends through benchmarking and participation in professional associations to inform business direction. Develop processes, tools, and monitoring to proactively identify potential system issues and lead or facilitate the certifications of new or amended products or tools. Provide leadership in communicating and teaching management vision and strategy, and embody Delta's values. Research, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues on a case-by-case basis. Update, test, and implement software solutions as needed. This is a full-time remote position, with the flexibility to work from home one day a week. Essential and Preferred Qualifications Minimum Requirements Four-year college education in Computer Science or a related field. Four years of experience in software application development or a related field. Four years of work experience with Java/Web development and high-scale REST Web Services. Four years of experience with AWS, source code control tools, and DevOps practices. Four years of experience with Social and NoSQL Database Designs. Four years of experience with automation of system and application deployments. Preferred Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS. Experience with IT service management and incident management.
