About Netflix and the Studio Data Management Team With over 230 million paid memberships in over 190 countries, Netflix is the go-to destination for series, documentaries, and feature movies across a vast range of genres and languages. As our slate of original productions and licensed content continues to grow, we need to scale and formalize control of studio data to meet the evolving needs of the business. The Studio Data Management team, part of the Content & Business Products (CBP) organization, is responsible for creating applications that drive innovation in content creation. Our team manages data quality for numerous large operational data sets used widely across these applications, working closely with product teams to ensure that data is bringing value to their products while also improving underlying data quality through better strategies, analysis, recommendations, and user education. Key Responsibilities As a Netflix Tagger Remote, your primary focus will be on deal data related to the agreements Netflix makes with talent and companies for the content we put on our service. Deal data is used throughout studio operations, from pitch to play, and it's essential that this data is accurate, complete, and connected. Your responsibilities will include: Defining, analyzing, and reporting on data quality standards to meet business requirements Devising and socializing best practices for data quality and creating and executing procedures to monitor and enforce data quality effectively Working with product squads on projects related to product development while guiding improvements to foundational data health Providing near-term and long-term thinking for deal data needs across the studio, including data quality and data education Creating quarterly goals to meet near and long-term business objectives and leading the execution of roadmap initiatives Acting as the primary data entity subject matter expert widely across the studio, consulting with product management, engineers, designers, and stakeholders on work related to deal data Leading data quality projects to support product development and improve foundational data quality, creating detailed plans that identify business impact, timelines, and risks, and executing on work Managing stakeholder requests and driving stakeholder alignment when needed Acting as a resource for responding to users' data-related support requests Partnering with business teams to create and implement more efficient processes, quality data practices, and educational programs Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 6+ years of experience working in data management with databases and/or content management systems Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information across a broad environment to diagnose problems and devise solutions Robust knowledge of workflow and the ability to recognize inefficiencies Understanding of data lifecycle and data governance principles Excellent time-management and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines for multiple projects Strong ability to communicate with empathy and clarity to technical and non-technical audiences Flexibility in an evolving environment Proficiency with Google Suite and desk-based applications (e.g., Excel, Airtable) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Knowledge of the pitch-to-play lifecycle of content Experience working with large datasets and data analysis tools Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques Certification in data management or a related field Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Data analysis and problem-solving skills: The ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights Communication and collaboration skills: The ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both written and verbal Project management skills: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Adaptability and flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines, and requirements in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail: The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Netflix, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
