About the Role As an Area Manager at Walmart Distribution Center, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our operations by effectively managing staffing, planning, and execution. Key Responsibilities Strategic Execution: Develop and implement area strategies to achieve office goals, including production, quality, and safety objectives. Leadership and Management: Oversee staffing and planning, assign tasks, and coordinate jobs to ensure seamless execution and high productivity. Performance Monitoring: Analyze business reports to assess area performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Quality and Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies, norms, and procedures by training and monitoring associates, and maintaining relevant documentation. Issue Resolution: Address associate, customer, or potential supplier concerns by listening, discussing, and determining corrective actions or recommendations. Associate Development: Guide and develop associates and leaders by allocating tasks, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. System Administration: Collaborate with the Data Systems Division (ISD) and vendors to resolve system issues and support the development of current and future system applications. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess: An Associate's degree in Business, Data Systems, or a related field, coupled with 1 year of administrative experience. Alternatively, a 4-year college degree in Business, Data Systems, or a related field. Long-term Walmart Coordinated Operations experience in a Data Systems environment, maintaining and analyzing computer systems. 2 years of Data Systems related administrative experience. 2 years of experience in a Data Systems environment, maintaining and analyzing computer systems (e.g., networks, PC hardware, and software). Willingness to participate in and complete all job-required training and assessments. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience in Business, Distribution, Distribution Center Administration, Data Systems, and Microsoft Office. Proven ability in managing associates and Walmart Coordinated Operations Systems. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
