About the Role of EDW Product Owner We are seeking an experienced and skilled EDW Product Owner to join our team in a fully remote capacity, based in Arizona. This role is perfect for a dynamic and results-driven professional who is passionate about driving the development of Enterprise Data Warehouse products and has a strong background in the healthcare domain. As an EDW Product Owner, you will play a critical role in gathering, defining, and translating user needs and business requirements into viable software product requirements across the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to define, prioritize, and complete feature backlogs, roadmaps, and software requirements. Partner with key stakeholders across multiple business units to translate business requirements into technical user stories that further our platform vision. Analyze, manage, and track the status of requirements throughout the product and development lifecycle, enforcing and redefining as necessary. Facilitate sprint grooming, sprint planning, and software delivery across multiple onshore and offshore scrum teams using Agile methodology. Develop and maintain the product roadmap and release plan, creating business user stories with input from business users. Partner with the Scrum Master in supporting the Scrum Framework and ensure traceability between requirements, features, and user stories. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: 5 years of experience in the healthcare, insurance, or related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare systems and data management deliverables. 3 years of experience in a role with demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse groups of people inside and outside of the business. 2 years of experience in decomposing high-level initiative information and evaluating components to forecast work effort required. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Achievement of Agile Product Owner certification within 12 months of placement. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: 5 years of experience in the healthcare or insurance field with an emphasis on Business Analysis and/or computer technology, including EDI. 5 years of experience in a role with demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse groups of people inside and outside of the business. 3 years of experience working with Agile/Scrum work environments as a product owner, writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance. Advanced PC proficiency, intermediate knowledge of BCBSAZ applications, and advanced knowledge of agile techniques. Proven record in developing and managing product roadmaps and product lifecycle management with a specific focus on EDWs and Data Lakes. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Intermediate PC proficiency and intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet, database, project management, and word processing software. Strong understanding of project management and agile best practices and quality improvement principles. Intermediate understanding of IT technologies and experience working with Healthcare systems. Demonstrable experience with data management deliverables in both waterfall and agile development environments. Understanding of Hadoop, Spark, and other relevant Big Data technologies. Able to analyze and communicate technical concepts to create practical solutions and influence decisions. Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
