As a Service Support Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with peers and customers to resolve technical issues and improve our overall technology infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier I technical support as the primary point of contact for all Support Incidents and Service Requests reported by customers. Proactively identify, research, troubleshoot, and address issues with County technology assets, including desktop hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, printers, telephones, and mobile technology. Develop strong relationships with peers and customers through outstanding communication and customer service skills. Manage vendor communication, purchasing, and create technical documentation as requested. Hold primary responsibility for answering Service Desk calls and responding to email received by the Service Desk. Contribute to the success of the Information Systems Department by providing proactive support to County Departments and Offices for their current and future technology needs. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet our minimum qualifications and possess a strong foundation in technical skills and customer service experience. Minimum Qualifications: Technical training in computer technology or a related field. 0-2 years of work experience or education in computer hardware and software with customer service, service desk, and technical support experience. Preferred Qualifications: Customer Service experience. Associate Degree in a related field. Experience with ITIL or IT Service Management Incident Management practices. Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel as a Service Support Technician, you will need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
