As a Director Assistant, AMEX Ventures, you will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Vice President and the Amex Ventures team in developing and executing our investment strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and driving team culture. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic support on a broad range of initiatives, partnering with the SVP and team to develop, drive, and deliver the enterprise strategy for Amex Ventures Act as a central point of contact for initiatives spearheaded by the SVP, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives Lead various team initiatives, including onboarding new hires, training and development of existing team members, and fostering a strong virtual/hybrid culture and community across the team Design and lead high-quality presentations for key strategic topics, leveraging exceptional communication and problem-solving skills Liaise and build strong partnerships with business leaders, colleague team members, external contacts, and other relevant partners to ensure alignment and execution of the team's overall priorities Lead leadership team meetings and strategic planning sessions, as well as the overall budgeting and forecasting process, demonstrating expertise in project management and change management Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: Extensive experience in project management and change management, with the ability to multitask and handle shifting priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment Exceptional qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, and development of recommendations Exemplary positive attitude and interpersonal skills, with a consistent record of building, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with senior management at all levels within the organization Highly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to drive results in a self-directed manner Strong executive presence and proven ability to exercise utmost discretion when handling confidential matters Prior experience working within the Blue Box, with a consistent track record of influence and impact, is highly preferred Familiarity with the VC ecosystem and understanding of the investment lifecycle is a significant plus Essential Skills and Competencies Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a remote or hybrid environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Director Assistant, AMEX Ventures, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, develop your skills in venture capital and investment strategy, and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $205,000 annually, plus bonus, equity (if applicable), and benefits.
