The Security Analyst for Data Protection role is a critical component of Delta's information security program, and the successful candidate will play a key part in protecting the company's sensitive data from unauthorized access, theft, or damage. Key Responsibilities Regulate information security instruments including fixing, upgrading, analyzing, testing, and report generation to ensure the security and integrity of Delta's data assets. Review data loss prevention alerts within target timeframes to identify and respond to potential security threats. Maintain data protection software upgrade schedules to ensure that Delta's technical solutions are up-to-date and effective. Resolve data loss alerts by implementing remediation procedures and defensive controls to prevent data breaches. Test and tune data identification solutions to reduce false positives and improve the accuracy of data loss prevention alerts. Create guides to explore, test, and implement new features within Delta's toolsets, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Develop new policies using regex, AI, fingerprinting, and word dictionaries to monitor unique data types and stay ahead of emerging threats. Collaborate with various business areas to document known business processes handling sensitive information and provide best practice recommendations. Ensure existing business processes meet data security best practices, validating processes and proposing security upgrades to minimize risk. Work with the business to conduct discovery scans to identify sensitive data, reviewing results with data owners and providing guidance on secure storage. Review existing network architecture, engineering, and policies to assess overall deployment against best practices and identify areas for improvement. Evaluate and assemble new data protection solutions in alignment with cloud requirements, operationalizing these solutions to deliver value to the business. Implement defensive controls in the cloud to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Delta's data assets. Effectively communicate data security concepts to non-technical business leaders, ensuring that stakeholders understand the importance of data security and the measures in place to protect Delta's data. Essential Qualifications At least 2 years of experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies, with a solid understanding of how data in motion, data at rest, and data in use are monitored. Strong technical knowledge of secure models, system configurations, guidelines, and regulations related to data security. Experience with designing and automating data security policies for cloud environments, including AWS. Familiarity with structured and unstructured data, as well as experience working with Information Loss Prevention (ILP) solutions. Experience managing Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions and data classification solutions. Experience with managing devices using solutions like Microsoft Intune. Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as PCI and GDPR, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or SANS GIAC, demonstrating expertise in information security. Cloud certifications like AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect, highlighting knowledge of cloud security and architecture. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Data Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in information security and technology.
