About the Role – IT Infrastructure Engineer We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Information Technology Division. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure solutions. Your expertise will play a critical role in driving our business forward, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement infrastructure solutions based on plans from foundation architects, including server load balancing, WAS clustering, and application scaling concepts. Investigate and resolve middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments. Proactively monitor local and remote data center operations and equipment, including UPSs, air conditioning, power, office security systems, and all data center processes and procedures. Support a culture of sharing and collaboration among the team, providing guidance to lower-level professionals and assisting when necessary. Stay current with systems technology best practices and evolving technologies, maintaining subject matter expertise and recommending improvements or changes as needed. Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory, including DNS and Group Policies. Travel as required, with a compulsory rotational schedule for on-call off-hours support. Essential Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training. At least 3 years of experience as a network or system administrator or engineer. Advanced ability to think critically and design solutions for current and future business conditions, including future technology and business architecture changes. In-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processes. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 3+ years of experience as a network or system administrator or engineer. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Python, Slam, and PowerShell. Knowledge of cloud technologies, including design, development, and delivery of cloud-native applications (Microsoft Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud). Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, GitHub, Artifactory, or Jenkins. Experience with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, or Cloud Foundry. Ability to analyze complex issues and implement solutions or workarounds. Agile project management experience, specifically within the infrastructure area.
