Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Staff Engineer, Mobile (Android) to join our team of experts in building high-performance, low-maintenance, and zero-downtime platforms and applications. As a key member of our engineering staff, you'll play a critical role in driving our business transformation and helping us transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence at its core. Key Responsibilities Focus on multiple areas and provide leadership to the engineering teams, ensuring that we're delivering high-quality technology products and services that meet the needs of our customers Own complete solutions across their entire life cycle, from design to deployment, and be accountable for the quality, usability, and performance of our applications Influence and build vision with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems and build enterprise-class business applications Lead in design sessions and code reviews to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization and ensure that we're using best practices and industry standards Mentor more junior team members professionally to help them realize their full potential and grow in their careers Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams to ensure that we're always learning and improving Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to have: Fluency and specialization in at least two modern languages, such as Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSX, Dart, Python, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design Experience in building products using a micro-services architecture and extensible REST APIs Experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems, including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code, as well as fluency in DevOps concepts, cloud architecture, and Azure DevOps operational framework Experience in leveraging PowerShell scripting and existing operational portals, such as Azure Portal Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments, as well as datacenter structure, capabilities, and offerings, including the Azure platform and its native services In-depth knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms, as well as knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with Android Studio, VS Code, or a similar IDE Experience with Gradle and other build tools Experience with risk assessment and security protocols, including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth Experience with Azure Network, including subscription, security zoning, and other related topics Strong problem-solving ability and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong technical skills, including programming languages, data structures, and software engineering principles Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and develop creative solutions Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results Career Growth Opportunities At Workwarp, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
